Here are the resources that we use in our business.

We all have our own set of tools that we use I our trades and if you don't then I suggest that you start building a list of resources for yourself. These resources have help me speed up my processes and helped me to create system that I use in my personal life and in my business.
I thought it would be helpful to share this with you, so here we go!


These are the resources that have helped me my business the most. If you're just looking for some links to get you started quickly then these are the resources you need to know about.

The resources I recommend most will appear in my emails on my website and in my articles, why? Because I believe in them and I know that they will make your life a lot easier. I'm sure that these resources will help you like they've helped me.

Planswift: I use Planswift to speed up my estimating process. This software is an Estimating Software that comes with a built-in Digitizer. I Recommend This Software because it allows me to simply point and click on my PDF drawings to generate quantities for my estimate that I can export into Microsoft Excel. Plus, they have real Estimators when you call customer service.

Bluebeam Revu: A lot of Estimators still use Microsoft Excel to do their Estimating. Here's the perfect solution for using your current Excel Spreadsheet with a stand-alone digitizer that you can use to export into .CSV format. (Microsoft Excel)

Microsoft Excel: Even though I use Planswift to do my estimates I still need to use Microsoft Excel on a daily basis. This is an essential tool for all estimators even if you use specialized Estimating Software.

Construction Templates: We all need templates of some sort in our business. You can access this site to get templates that you can download instead of creating the template from scratch. This will save you a lot of time and they have a wide variety of templates to get you started.

Dropbox: Need to access files on the go? Dropbox is the best way to keep your files in the cloud so that you can access them from anywhere at any time. You can use Dropbox to host your project files and invite your subs or whoever to view and download all the files in the folder.

Evernote: This is actually an app that I use on my phone to keep notes, pictures and audio recordings. It's similar to Dropbox in the sense that you can access your files from the cloud. If you are familiar with notepad then this is a notepad on steroids. Download this app for your phone today.
